David and Joyce Dinkins Gardens - Solar
David and Joyce Dinkins Gardens is an affordable housing property in Harlem, New York, built by developer Jonathan Rose in conjunction with Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement. This green building contains 86 affordable housing units, including 26 specifically for youth aging out of the state foster-care system. The design includes a planted green roof, shading trellises, and a rainwater recovery system, among other efficient features.
Bright Power was hired to design and install a solar PV system for Dinkins Gardens. Additionally, Bright Power helped the project apply for and obtain over $100,000 in incentives towards installation costs.
