Environmental Expo and Concert (Saturday May 14, 2011)
(Park Slope United Methodist Church, 6th Ave and 8th Street Brooklyn, New York, 11215)
A free community-wide Environmental Expo from 12 Noon-5PM in the garden. Hands-on demonstrations of solar panels, rain water capture systems, gardening, composting, community supported agriculture (CSA), wind energy, NYSERDA LEED analyst, Food and Water Watch with short films, Fair Trade industry, and demonstrations on energy efficient techniques for the home. Families welcome. In the evening from 7-9 PM, in the sanctuary, come celebrate the Earth with a concert. Raffle tickets will be sold all day for a chance to win gift certificates to local merchants. This is all to support our mission to social justice and care for our Earth.
