COVID-19 Precautions

BLOG

Updated December 7, 2020

With California entering a new round of lockdowns and New York City’s infection rates worsening, Bright Power wanted to reiterate our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, clients, and their buildings’ occupants.

As an Essential Service, Bright Power plans to continue performing inspections and project work in accordance with our client’s protocols as allowed by federal, state, and city orders.

We continue to enforce our policies and protocols, which you can read more about below.

If you have any questions about the specific precautions we are taking for your project, please reach out to your Bright Power Account Manager or Project Manager.

At Bright Power, we take the health and safety of our employees, clients, and their buildings’ occupants very seriously. While safety is always our #1 concern, we are taking extra precautions as it relates to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

When allowed by federal, state, and city orders, and in accordance with our client’s protocols, Bright Power is performing inspections and project work. When going on-site, employees, subcontractors, and/or authorized representatives will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) or will not be allowed on-site, follow strict hygiene protocols, and adhere to the appropriate social distancing of 6’ or greater. We also have specific policies for each jurisdiction and project type.

We continue to direct our employees to avoid all physical contact (no handshakes, high fives, etc.) at property visits. Any employees or contractors who exhibit any signs of illness will not be allowed to work in the field. Per our regular procedures, we will thoroughly clean any equipment brought on-site after visiting a property.

In the fight against climate change, and health concerns like COVID-19, everyone has to do their part. We’re proud to do ours while we continue to make your buildings better.

If you have any questions about the specific precautions we are taking for your project, please reach out to your Bright Power Account Manager or Project Manager.

If you have any general questions about our procedures, please reach out to feedback@brightpower.com.

When allowed by federal, state, and city orders, Bright Power will continue essential site visits for specific services and locations on a case-by-case basis. At Bright Power, we take the health and safety of our employees, clients, and their buildings’ occupants very seriously. While safety is always our #1 concern, we are taking extra precautions as it relates to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Our new policy for site visits requires our employees and installation crews to take at least one of the following actions upon entry to each building, and before and after entering each tenant space:

  • Rub alcohol-based (60%+) hand sanitizer thoroughly on hands until dry
  • Wash hands with soap for at least 20 seconds
  • Change disposable gloves

We also have directed our employees to avoid all physical contact (no handshakes, high fives, etc.) at property visits and our offices. Any employees or contractors who exhibit any signs of illness will not be allowed to work in the field or in our offices. Per our regular procedures, we will thoroughly clean any equipment brought on-site after visiting a property.
