Intercontinental partnered with Bright Power to conduct an energy audit to create a comprehensive list of energy efficiency upgrades and opportunities for savings.

Bright Power recommended a set of holistic energy improvements, which were identified in the energy audit, giving St. Margaret’s House a roadmap to address their building’s underperformance and heating distribution issues.

EnergyScoreCards, Bright Power’s data analysis platform, tracked an increase in electricity and gas costs as well as consumption. Bozzuto and WashREIT saw this as an opportunity to learn more about the cause of the upward trend in costs, and figure out how to manage them.

River Park Towers, a two-tower 1,654-unit low-income housing in the Bronx, had energy problems that were severely impacting energy consumption, tenant comfort, and cost. When Hurricane Sandy hit, the lack of backup power was dangerous to tenants and building operations.
